Writing Workshop This is the time of the day when your child can express themselves with words. Students are encouraged to work independently and write using their own spelling. Their work is kept in a folder where one side has finished work and the other side has work that is still being revised. Encouraging your child to write at home like this will only help to reinforce what he or she is doing in the classroom. Our school is using The Teacheršs College Writing Program which will include units of study in the following areas: small moments, personal narrative, poetry, non-fiction including how-to and all about books, realistic fiction, revision and authors as mentors. |
