Star of the Week Each student in the class will be honored as the student of the week on Friday mornings. You will be notified one week in advance via the Friday Papers. The students are given a dedicated 20 minutes to share about themselves, their families, their hobbies and their talents. There will be a questionnaire for each student to complete. The students are also asked to create a poster board with pictures of themselves, their family, as well as hobbies, pets, travels and more to share with the class on Friday mornings. Students are also encouraged to bring in objects to share such as favorite books, collections, art they have created or other prized possessions. If your child has a talent or would like to perform something he or she have learned please encourage them to share it with the class. While pictures of pets are preferred because of allegories and liabilities, we can discuss exceptions when appropriate. Finally, talk with your child about some stories to tell or ask if you can share a story or two with the class. It all helps the class get to know each student a little better. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. The hope is that this is an enjoyable project for each student and those who help put it together.
